JPMorgan Makes Mexico Its Top Country Pick in Latin America

Aug. 20 (Bloomberg) — JPMorgan Chase & Co., ranked by Institutional Investor magazine as the top brokerage for Latin America equity research this year, made Mexico its top country pick for the region on the prospect of a second-half economic recovery and fiscal reform.

JPMorgan’s Latin America equity strategist Ben Laidler boosted his year-end forecasts for Mexico’s Bolsa index by 6.3 percent to 34,000 and Brazil’s Bovespa by 8.3 percent to 65,000. The Bolsa gained 0.5 percent to 27,731.04 at 11:24 a.m. New York time and the Bovespa advanced 0.8 percent to 56,579.80.
